GLEF 2022
Invitation
(Hebrews 12:1-3)
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
GLEF 2022 Invitation
Dear world mission coworkers in the Lord,
We would like to invite you to the Global Leadership Empowerment Forum (GLEF) 2022. GLEF is a leadership development program for young people who have spiritual desire for campus mission and global Christian mission. The goal of GLEF is to spiritually empower the next generation and to raise them to be influential Christian leaders with spiritual characters and qualifications.
For the past 4 years, even during the COVID-19 pandemic, GLEF has served its purpose and vision to raise the next generations to be influential leaders through educating and training them with the word of God, especially through Inductive Bible Study (IBS) on the entire books of the Bible.
At the first GLEF in 2018, our goal was to help the next generation to have their Christian identity as spiritual leaders for their generation. All programs were to educate and support them to be Self-motivated Executive Bible Teachers, so that they may be able to personally study and teach the Bible. For this, each of the participants learned the IBS method and practiced it by making Bible study questionnaires.
At the second GLEF 2019, the goal was to raise Messenger Trainers and Disciple Makers. From the factual study of the Bible passages to the completion of messages, each of the participants were educated and trained step by step by senior missionaries who are experienced in the mission field over 30 years.
At the third GLEF, we focused on Global Leadership and Self-management. Especially through the Bible study on Nehemiah, we taught Nehemiah’s leadership which led the Israelites in the most hopeless time.
At the fourth GLEF, we had learned Jesus’ spiritual leadership through Mark’s gospel Bible Studies. In five lectures, we had meditated on Jesus’ hope, compassion, servantship, mission, and sacrifices.
Since GLEF is to raise spiritual leaders, we have faithfully educated about Leaderships in the Bible through research presentations on Jesus’ Leadership in Mark, Moses’ leadership in Numbers and Exodus, and Nehemiah’s leadership in Nehemiah.
Through GLEF, some next generations have grown to be leaders from their high school years. After 4 years of GLEF, now they actively serve campus mission and world mission in their mission as mission co-workers. Though they are freshmen in college, they become influential leaders in their campuses. Praise the Lord!
GLEF has served its purpose with sense of duty without fail even during the pandemic. GLEF will continue to devote to raise the next generation to be spiritual leaders for their generation even though the world is going now through another trouble, the war between Ukraine and Russia. The world is indeed in need of leaders with spiritual characters and qualifications.
In this year 2022 at the fifth GLEF, we will study the Book of Hebrews with the title “Jesus is the High Priest.” The goal of this year is to learn spiritual leadership through Jesus’ High Priesthood and to live as a kingdom of priests for this generation. Being a spiritual leader is not only about knowledge, ability, nor talents, but also about identity and attitude of one’s heart as a kingdom of priests. Through Hebrews Bible study, we may equip the next generation with spiritual authority and leadership by planting their identity “A kingdom of priests.”
GLEF 2022 will be held from August 1 to August 8, 2022. In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s forum will convene remotely through Internet Meeting - Zoom. Anyone who has the spiritual desire for world campus mission and global Christian mission is eligible to apply.
